Guy Spelman is currently the CEO of Nanoscience, the AIM listed Investment holding company. Appointed to the Board in September 2006, the business is focused on exploiting the AMx technology developed at Imperial college, through it Investments. Toumaz technology and Future Waves.

Prior to Nanoscience, Guy was the MD of the Reuters business within BT Group. This business was formed from the acquisition of Radianz and the $3.2bn outsourcing deal signed between BT and Reuters.

Prior to this guy has a wealth of experience in the Service industry having worked for IBM and Andersen Consulting where a concentration was on providing Outsourced services to financial institutions. He has also held the position of MD for the Pinnacle Alliance which was set up to provide services to JP Morgan. Pinnacle was a JV between CSC, Bell Atlantic, Andersen Consulting.

Guy has also been active in the small company arena having been Chairman of PlaySportNewMedia which provided the software to run amateur cricket in the UK for the ECB and tennis through the LTA.

Stephen White spent the first half of his career in IT management working for a number of Manufacturing and professional organisations. Steve left IT management and joined a prominent Northwest IT consultancy company in 1996 to lead a team devoted to identifying and delivering new technology solutions to companies throughout the UK. 

In 1998 Steve became a senior IT consultant for Computacenter (The UK’s largest IT solutions company) producing and presenting solutions to some of the UK largest Blue chip companies. It was while working at Comptercenter that Steve identified areas of opportunity within the IT services industry and set about creating Continum Ltd.

Since its formation in 1999, Continum has grown year on year providing innovative IT and communication solutions.

Serge Grisard After a few years in engineering with NASA (Houston, Texas) and Pechiney, Serge Grisard joined in 1993 the Healthcare industry where he has held a variety European leading roles: strategy, business development and product business unit management with Siemens Medical and Pfizer Hospital Products; M&A and financing as KPMG Corporate Finance’s Healthcare Practice leader for medical technology.

Since 2003, Serge is involved in direct investments and early stage players in healthcare and technology as a top executive in private equity groups. He often contributes his deep sector knowledge to the companies in his portfolios, and occasionally outside of it. Serge holds a degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Liège (Belgium) and an MBA from the IMD Business School in Lausanne.

Alan J McMillan FCCA qualified as an accountant while working for over six years with firms of Chartered Accountants in London. He subsequently spent over 20 years in the Leisure Industry and served as Finance Director and Company Secretary of quoted and unquoted companies.

Alan has extensive experience in commerce including the financing and development of his own and other parties businesses. Alan is currently the Group Commercial and Finance Director of Continum Group Limited, a group of companies in the IT development, software and telephony industry.
